Cultivating Resiliency Within
Many people are struggling, whether they are in danger or they know of people who are, or they are overwhelmed by what is happening around the world. You might be feeling anger, fear, grief, sadness, or the likes. These emotions are important, but when we get stuck in them, how helpful are they? To stand up for justice we want to be able to feel these emotions without getting stuck.
Resiliency is the ability of a ‘system’ to bounce back in the face of adversity. In this workshop we will play with increasing our resiliency range—the capacity to be with what feels difficult and move between challenge and ease.
You will learn:
– to increase your awareness of what is happening in your internal landscape by tuning into physical sensations—the voice of the nervous system
– to support yourself in coming back into your resilient range during times of overwhelm or shut down with gentle somatic practices and tools
This is an introduction of ways to increase your self-awareness and support your nervous system in difficult times so you can bring your best Self forward as you advocate for change.
