Making Our Way Home
A Somatic Experiencing® Trauma Healing Series
Trauma isn’t just an event that happened in the past—it lives on in our bodies. When overwhelming experiences exceed our capacity to cope, the nervous system stores fragments of that experience as tension, numbness, anxiety, depression, fatigue, hyper-vigilance, or unexplained pain. This is the body’s survival wisdom: trauma gets “stuck” not in our minds alone, but in our muscles, breath patterns, and even our heartbeat. Healing, then, is not about revisiting the story—it’s about rewiring the nervous system’s response to life so that we can return home to ourselves.
Somatic Experiencing offers a frame work for helping our nervous system to get unstuck and to release the holding patterns of traumatic stress and tension. During our time together we will introduce you to some of the key concepts and tools of SE that will help us to explore new rhythms and patterns that over time can support the release of stored trauma and chronic stress. This program is an initiation into understanding the connection between the mind, body, and nervous system; opening the doorway to more ease, safety and resilience.
Through our Somatic Experiencing tools, you’ll have the opportunity to:
– Explore nervous system regulation and resilience
– Work with body awareness to gently unwind tension and unresolved stress
– Cultivate grounding and resourcing practices
– Develop tools to feel more anchored and present in daily life

What participants are reflecting:
“I loved the group SE experience. As someone who’s done both 1:1 and this group with Emma, I can say they really complement each other. I was actually surprised at how much I enjoyed this group journey together. I feel like both the coherence we created together and the insights that were shared by each person helped me to see what else was possible beyond my own experience, and that was so valuable!” – Kay’a H.
“I got so much out of the group experience. I left each time feeling calm, relaxed and in touch with my body and moment-to-moment experience. Plus I learned simple skills that I practice now and they have a profound and direct impact on my nervous system when I am starting to feel stressed or dysregulated. I also really appreciated the pace in which Emma facilitates. She does a great job reading the energy of the group. So essential for a practice like this! Emma’s presence is gentle and very alive with her skill set. It’s obvious she is in her element leading these groups.” – Marc B.
“Emma’s ability to tune into the group’s energy makes for an incredibly accepting and comfortable space. Every time after leaving the workshop or the ongoing group I feel more grounded, alive and ready to explore what came up during the session” – Kiernan S.
“Working in a small group setting with Emma was fun, cozy, powerful, and profound. She created a very safe and intimate space where strangers quickly felt like supportive friends, and I think we all left feeling nurtured and energized.” ~ Katie G.
